A Bit About Me

With more than 30 years of general management and global experience working for some amazing companies, I have seen and learned a lot about running an organization and building teams from the ground up. I started my career as a mechanical engineer before moving into organizational management. I held multi-site leadership positions in the United States with EnPro Industries, Cameron, Marsh Bellofram, Dresser-Rand and PV Fluid Products, and in Europe as an ex-pat with EnPro Industries. During my career, I have had the honor of helping businesses on their journey toward safety and operational excellence, with multiple sites achieving zero injuries year-over-year. I have built a reputation as a respected leader with a strong business acumen gained through years of experience in operations, engineering, quality, sales and human resources.

As a business consultant, my main focus is to successfully lead organizations to meet or exceed customer expectations while achieving company goals and developing talent.

My most recent consulting experiences include:

  • Director of Operations at a ballistic eyewear company in Burlington, Vermont (revenues $25-50M, approximately 80 employees)

  • General Manager at a protective packaging foam manufacturing plant in western Ohio
    (revenues $50-100M, approximately 80 employees)

  • Plant Manager at a brewery/co-packer facility in Memphis, Tennessee
    (revenues $175-250M, approximately 800 employees)

  • Plant Manager at a brewery/co-packer facility in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
    (revenues $50-100M, approximately 250 employees)

  • Safety Consultant at a pallet repair facility in Kansas City, Missouri

  • Safety Consultant at a pallet repair facility in Camden, New Jersey

I am a proven team builder with demonstrated success in leading technical organizations, union and union-free facilities and international operations using excellent analytical skills and change management abilities with high emotional intelligence, empathy and the ability to connect with employees quickly.

My colleagues would describe my leadership style as supportive and centered with the ability to achieve the highest team output. This is especially important when you're trusting someone to step into a consultant or interim management role. You, your management team and other staff can trust me to listen, lead, build and enhance your team(s).

For balance ~

In my spare time, I enjoy landscaping and other home improvement projects. I'm an avid reader as well. And when there is time, I'm an amateur photographer. Living in the Finger Lakes provides many beautiful opportunities for photos! Check out my gallery here and thanks for visiting!

Core Values

Safety

Excellence

Respect

Safety always comes first, at work and more importantly, at home. You can't come to work and just flip a switch and automatically become safety conscious. You have to build safe habits at home as well.

In everything you do, you should strive to be excellent. Keep learning how to do whatever it is that you do even better every day, then pass that knowledge on to others.

You can't work as a team without having basic respect for each other and each other's ideas. Disagreements can lead to better ideas so keep an open mind!
